Yelp has a “Singles Scene” option to help pick a date place or to find a new spot to meet others looking to date.
If you’re new in town or just looking to cast a wider net, click over to Yelp, the social review site.
In the Yelp search box, type the word “Singles” and you’ll see a list of suggestions for singles bar, singles scene, singles groups, singles nights, singles dating, singles clubs and more. Pick one of the options and enter the city/state and you can browse the results.
It’s generally a good idea to read the listing, then the first couple of reviews of a place you’ve been to and see how your experience measures up to the experience of the reviewers. This will give you a good sense of the style of review Yelp encourages.
I like to read the negative reviews of a new place first because if it has bad food or poor service a lot of people will mention it and those things are important to me when I go out to eat. Quite often people on Yelp complain about stuff that, while important to them, isn’t important to me.
Spend some time on the site and you may find a few options to meet someone and a few spots to enjoy on your first date together.
