Advertising Policy

Inclusion in the Height Site tall shopping directories is free.

There is no charge to be mentioned on our site, if you’d like to pitch me a story idea that includes your site or something you sell, please contact me because I’m always looking for great stuff for tall folks. Please note that I need three separate instances of something to call it a trend.

Some retailers have expressed an interest in customizing and expanding their presence here. To accommodate these requests, I have standardized display ads to match sizes most common on the Web and streamlined page layouts to make them consistent.

We can currently accommodate the following:

728 x 90 – Leaderboard on Directory Pages only
300 x 250 – Medium Rectangle above the fold on sidebars
250 x 250 – Medium Square below the fold on sidebars
160 x 600 – Wide Skyscraper on certain sidebars
468 x 60 – Banner top of certain pages or article content box
125 x 125 – Button on Directory pages or article content box

We currently publish ads from a number of affiliate networks. If you are working with one already, please contact me on the Height Site or search for us in your ad network’s database.

If you’d like to advertise directly with the Height Site, Your offer must include:
  1. The type of ad you’d like to place (One of the sizes listed above)
  2. How long you’d like the ad to run (Days, weeks or months)
  3. The URL of the page you’d like to see your ad appear – if you don’t know what a URL is then you need to learn more about the web before you try to do business on it. If you’d like to propose a more extensive campaign with multiple pages you can summarize them but include at least the main URL so I know which exact page you’d like to target.
  4. How much you’d like to pay – I realize this is a down economy and most small businesses are struggling so please just give me your best offer. I won’t counter or try to get more out of you by negotiating. I will either say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ based on your offer.

With the re-launch of The Height Site in the Autumn of 2010 we started tracking our unique visitors. I still don’t know what to do with this information. Until I figure it out – if it’s meaningful to you, here it is.
